After a long hiatus I am trying to write blog posts regularly. Today I published a somewhat coherent (I think) post about not preserving the dimensionality of the information/problem at hand and some problems that can come from this:

> **[Some dimensionality devils](https://oriolabrilpla.cat/python/arviz/pymc/xarray/xarray-einstats/2022/05/25/too-eager-reduction.html)**

> Common cases of excessively eager dimensionality reduction

The post also shows ways to solve some of these problems with ArviZ, xarray and [xarray-einstats](https://einstats.python.arviz.org/en/latest/).

I hope you’ll find it useful even if it’s a bit of a rant
