# PyMC4 project for GSoC 2019

Hello PyMC devs,

I am Shashank Shekhar, presently a research assistant at Indian Institute Of Science and will be starting my master’s from Fall 19. I am interested in the development of PyMC4 project for GSoC 2019.

I have forked pymc4 repo on GitHub. I think that issue #44 [Support more distributions as random variables](https://github.com/pymc-devs/pymc4/issues/44) is a good place for me to get started. Going through the repo I found that pymc4 is quite nascent compared to pymc3 and there could be a lot of things to do over the summer. The wiki doesn’t go into details of what the team would like to see implemented for GSoC hence I thought it might be a good idea to ask here regarding the project.
