in general the model does not match the data-generation-process(the simulation) which is the reason behind the poor posterior estimates, reviewing the generated trend and the modelling of it in the model we can easily see a mismatch where as the simulated trend is much more complex than what the modelling of it in the model is able to capture, it effects the runtime aswell but not as drastic as one would believe.
