FitSim (fitsim.ai) is a pre-seed AI-powered football transfer intelligence platform based in Scotland. We use Bayesian inference and multi-system simulation to predict player performance, assess transfer risk, and quantify cultural compatibility for professional football clubs.
We’re looking for a Fractional CTO (2–3 days/week, remote-friendly, UK timezone) to lead our technical build.
Why this might interest the PyMC community:
Our simulation engine architecture relies heavily on probabilistic programming. The core pipeline uses PyMC with HMC/NUTS for Bayesian recalibration across player performance models, with forward simulation producing confidence-interval-based outputs for club decision-makers. This isn’t a bolt-on ML feature — probabilistic modelling is the product.
What we need:
Hands-on Python/PyMC engineering depth (not just advisory)
Experience designing multi-layer data pipelines: ingestion → feature engineering → Bayesian modelling → simulation → scoring
Startup CTO or VP Engineering experience (seed to Series A)
Ability to present technical architecture to investors
UK-based or UK-timezone-compatible
Clean IP practices (we have a patent application in progress)
Nice to have: Sports analytics background, football data provider experience (Opta, StatsBomb, Wyscout), prior fractional CTO experience.
Compensation: Monthly retainer + equity. Structure negotiable.
