PhD position at TU Delft: Surrogate-enabled Uncertainty Quantification for Water Quality Modeling

We are looking for a PhD candidate for a 4-year PhD position at the Water Management department at TU Delft (Netherlands). The researcher will work on uncertainty quantification for complex partial-differential equation models in the environmental sciences using surrogate models. This is an interdisciplinary project combining Bayesian statistics/uncertainty quantification with domain sciences (hydrogeology, biogeochemistry). I would be excited to work with someone who can use PyMC for this.

You can find details on the position and the application process here. Feel free to reach out to me at a.storiko@tudelft.nl if you have any questions.
