We are really excited to announce that registrations to the first ever PyMCon are now open.
We want to make sure PyMCon is a great experience for everyone so here is an outline of the conference. We hope you’ll find PyMCon an enjoyable and enriching experience!
What will happen at PyMCon?
Presentations will be publicly published before the conference and the conference will have many asynchronous activities hosted here at Discourse! Each talk will have it’s own post where an async Q&A with the speakers will take place and there will also be opportunities to interact with our sponsors and community partners.
The live session with keynotes, live speaker Q&A and sprints on October 31st are what requires registration. They will happen on 9-15 GMT+2 (Africa/Asia/Europe) and 9-15 GMT-7 (America). Keynotes will be published after the conference.

Help us with PyMCon
We still need some more help with the conference, let us know if you are available and interested in volunteering. Here are some (some, this is not an exhaustive list) of the tasks you could end up doing if you volunteer:
- Help with the begginer zone
- Hang around at Zulip and answer questions to attendees about PyMC, OSS, Bayes…
- Coordinate open hours with video call focused on a topic of interest for people new to PyMC
- Review and correct presentation subtitles.
- Moderate async discussion here on Discourse
- Add more content to the website (i.e. the schedule)
- Help with the sprint during the live session
- …
And there is one last thing that everyone can do, no registration at all! Share the news about PyMCon!
